Western Section Annual Meeting
Abstract submission deadline: February 14, 2011
Late Abstracts will be accepted, but will not be considered for talks.
The purpose of this
meeting is to provide an opportunity for younger plant biologists to present
their work and exchange ideas. Accordingly, each session will include
presentations by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. We encourage
graduate students and post doctoral fellows to avail of this opportunity.
Therefore, the meeting program will be determined after
receipt of abstracts.
Abstracts can be submitted with the intent to present a
poster, an oral report, or with that option left to the local organizing
committee. Depending on the number of requests for slots in the
sessions, some requests for oral presentation time may be
accepted as poster presentations. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best oral abstract
presentation and two cash prizes for the best postdoc/graduate student posters.
Three faculty judges will identify top two posters for a cash award. The prizes will be announced and awarded at the conclusion of the conference.
All abstracts submitted on or before February 14, 2011 are guaranteed to be included in the program book
