New articles are posted online twice weekly, up to eight weeks before print copies are shipped.

Subscriptions are issued on a calendar-year basis only.

A subscription allows access to the full text of both current and past issues of The Plant Cell and Plant Physiology^®.

Back issues of The Plant Cell (from volume 1, 1989), and Plant Physiology^® (from volume 1, 1926) are available free at HighWire Press, PubMedCentral (both with a 1 year embargo) and JSTOR (with a 3-year embargo).

Our archiving solutions include PubMedCentral and LOCKSS.

Institutional online access + print copies

A subscription includes online access to both Plant Physiology^® and The Plant Cell. Subscribers who wish to receive print copies in addition to online access may do so for an additional $650 (includes both titles).

There is an additional $225 for overseas shipping.

Print copies of The Plant Cell and Plant Physiology^® are published monthly.

Print issues of The Plant Cell contain articles posted online during the calendar month noted on the cover. Because of the time needed to compile the print edition, the issues are not mailed until 4—5 weeks after the month noted on the cover.

Claims for missing issues

We make every effort to keep up with address changes. Please let us know your current mailing address (PO Boxes are not acceptable) when you submit a claim.

Missing journals will be replaced free of charge up to 3 months from the issue date within the United States and up to 6 months from the issue date foreign. Journals with issue dates older than this will incur a charge of $95 + $10 shipping ($105) per copy within the U.S. and $95 + $12 shipping ($107) per copy foreign. Contact institution@aspb.org.

NOTE: There is a per-issue cost if you make more than two claims within 12 months.
We regret that we are unable to make exceptions.

We recommend that you file a claim with your campus mail department if you have multiple claims in a year. If there is no resolution, please contact your local post office to file a more extensive claim.

Activating online access

Go to www.aspbjournals.org
Click on either The Plant Cell or Plant Physiology^® icon. You can activate your online subscription to both journals from either link.
Click on the SUBSCRIPTIONS link.
Choose ACTIVATE Your Institutional Subscription.
Enter your six-digit ASPB customer ID number (contact Linda Palmer at lpalmer@aspb.org if you don’t know your customer ID number).
Enter your contact information and please include your email address.
Then enter the IP addresses you wish to have access to ASPB's online journals.
