Beachy Responds to ASPB Letter on NIFA’s First RFAs Under AFRI

Roger Beachy, director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, has responded to a letter from ASPB President Tuan-hua David Ho expressing concerns about funding for foundational research, the narrow focus of challenge areas within the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative, and the availability of staff to manage Coordinated Agricultural Projects.
