TOPICAL REVIEWS IN PLANT BIOLOGY

Edited by Jim Shinkle, Department of Biology, Trinity University, San Antonio, TX 78212-7200. 1993-1997 edited by Bob Wise, Department of Biology, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI 54901

The following list of topical reviews in plant biology has been compiled to provide references for lecturers and students of plant biology who need the latest word on a particular topic. Articles have been categorized according to the organizational scheme used in Plant Physiology. For 1999, titles were collected from Annals of Botany, the Annual Review of Biochemistry, Annual Review of Biophysics and Biomolecular Structure, Annual Review of Cell Developmental Biology, Annual Review of Ecology and Systematics, Annual Review of Genetics, Annual Review of Microbiology, Annual Review of Phytopathology, Annual Review of Plant Physiology and Plant Molecular Biology, Journal of Experimental Botany, Photochemistry and Photobiology, Photosynthesis Research, Physiologia Plantarum, Plant and Cell Physiology, Plant Cell and Environment, Plant Physiology, and The Plant Cell. The students from the Plant Physiology course at Trinity University assisted in the collection and organization of these references and their help is gratefully acknowledged.

We are testing 2 different formats for providing information on articles from Trends in Plant Science. For 1998, the subject index is provided, and for 1999 the table of contents is reproduced. If you find one or the other more effective please email Jim Shinkle. The index and contents were compiled courtesy of Hugh Blackbourn, PhD, Editor of Trends in Plant Science. The tables of contents for Trends in Plant Science and Current Opinion in Plant Biology can be accessed by registering with BioMedNet at the following link: http://www.biomednet.com/display/entrance. Registration is free.

No attempt was made to be all-inclusive; several other journals publish quality review articles.

However, it was felt that the sources given above are the ones most likely to be subscribed to by most colleges and universities. To locate a particular review title, use the "Find" function from the choices under the "Edit" pull-down in your web browser to conduct a keyword search.
