ARE YOU A MEMBER?
The major activity of the Midwest Society is its annual meeting. This
meeting is an excellent opportunity for students to hone their speaking
skills, as well as to introduce them to research areas not represented at
their institution. Furthermore, considering the enormous size of most
conferences in plant biology in recent years, the Midwest annual meeting
represents an effective forum to meet other plant biologists and to discuss
recent advances on a more intimate scale. Active participation of plant
scientists investigating a variety of important questions in plant biology
is a key factor in the overall success of this dynamic regional meeting.
If you are not currently a member of the Midwest Society, we invite you to
join and to become an active contributor to the annual meeting. You can join
the section while joining ASPB, or you can join while
renewing your ASPB membership.
